EVENTS & MINISTRIES
Thanksgiving Luncheon
Make plans to join us for our annual Thanksgiving luncheon on Sunday, November 16 following our morning worship service. Please bring plenty of food to feed our church family and visitors as we have a time of fellowship to give thanks to God for His many blessings.
Church Decorating
Join us in decorating the church on Sunday, November 23 as we will gather to get the church ready for the Advent season and Christmas. Please make plans to help. We also will be bagging cookies for the tree-lighting festival in Granite Falls after we finish decorating the church.
Tree-Lighting Festival
Poovey’s Grove Baptist Church will have a booth at the Granite Falls tree-lighting ceremony on Monday, November 24 at 6 pm. We will be serving hot chocolate, coffee and cookies while spreading the Gospel and information about our church. Please bring cookies and Ziploc bags for us to use during this event. We will need them by November 16.
Christmas Parade
Our church will be taking part in the annual Christmas parade for the Town of Granite Falls on Saturday, December 6 at noon. We will gather at First Baptist Church of Granite Falls at 10 am to put final touches on our float for the parade. Please bring plenty of bags of candy and Ziploc bags for us to pass out during the parade. We need those items by November 23.
Christmas Eve Communion Service
We will have our Christmas Eve communion service on Wednesday, December 24 at 3:30 pm. Join us for a time of reflection as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We will have communion at the close of the service. Also, bring cans of food for our White Christmas gift collection to provide assistance to those in need.
